The platform is for testing emerging technologies and experimental approaches via exhibits and research. Event hosting and innovation exploration. Generates cultural attention and builds thought leadership at the intersection of art, technology, and design. Incubates and researches radical ideas before they're real-world and industry-ready.

  • Alexey Dubov

    Co-Founder

    Alexey Dubov is the cofounder of BuildTech VC, a venture capital group based in San Mateo, California, focused on investing in the future of the built environment. With a background that bridges engineering, entrepreneurship, and construction technology, Alexey is known for supporting early-stage startups at the forefront of construction tech, automation, robotics, advanced materials, and climate-resilient solutions.

    He is also the co-founder of Mighty Buildings, a groundbreaking 3D-printing construction company that pioneered new methods for sustainable housing production. His work spans the intersection of emerging technologies, venture development, and scalable impact in the built world.

    Alexey co-founded Echoes of Future Matter alongside Andrei Hakhovich - a design platform and exhibition series exploring how materials, storytelling, and emerging technologies shape our future spaces. He brings strategic vision and technical insight to the initiative, fostering dialogue across disciplines and industries.

  • Andrei Hakhovich

    Co-Founder

    Andrei Hakhovich is the founder of Gradient Matter - an ideas-driven, multidisciplinary design studio based in San Francisco, California. The studio operates at the intersection of architecture, public art, interiors, and bespoke objects, creating works that are poetic, atmospheric, provocative, ecological, and performative - designed to evoke a deep sensorial impact. Gradient Matter collaborates with a diverse range of clients, from developers to local communities and small businesses.

    As an architectural designer, Andrei's work blends creative inquiry with material and spatial intelligence-allowing him to explore new narratives, create novel spatial experiences, and expressive forms in meaningful ways.

    In addition to his design practice, Andrei is a Senior Adjunct Faculty at California College of the Arts and the Academy of Art University, where he teaches architecture studios and seminars on design, digital tecnics and structural innovation.

    Andrei Hakhovich and Alexey Dubov are also the cofounders of Echoes of Future Matter, a design platform and exhibition series that explores how materials, storytelling, and emerging technologies shape the future of our built environments.
